Ramcharitmanas is the one of the greatest work in Hindu literature.It is an epic poem in Awadhi language composed by the great poet Goswami Tulsidas of 16th century.Although Tulsidas was well versed in Sanskrit , he wrote the epic in vernacular language to make the story of Lord Rama accessible to common people.
